Five local Kees Okanagan Taekwondo athletes, along with their coach, are honoured to compete at the upcoming International Children’s Games to be held in Daegu, South Korea.

Running since 1968, the International Children's Games is an International Olympic Committee recognized event held every year where children from cities around the world, between the ages of 12 and 15 participate in a variety of sports and cultural activities.  The aim of the games is world peace through youth sports and cultural understanding.

The International Children's Games are a high level of competition for this age group.

This year, we expect 95 delegations from 30 countries and close to 1500 athletes to attend.
